My Travels

Before I decided that I could no longer travel by air (due to my concerns about the greenhouse gases that air travel generates,) I travelled a lot both for business and holidays. But I decided that I just had to visit my niece and sister in Mexico so I took train and bus to visit them. Here are photos of my visit to Queretaro, San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato.

My last overseas trip was in January, 2006 when I travelled to India to visit friends. Both Ven. Phulchung and Geshe Wangchen were attending the Kalachakra in Amaravati, Andra Pradesh, and I decided to vist there first. After the Kalachakra, I travelled with Geshe Wangchen to his monastery, Ganden Jangste in Mundgod, Karnataka. Geshe Wangchen took care of me there for about 10 days although we took a side trip to Bijapur, Karnataka, a little known Mughal city in the North East area of Karnataka. After Mundgod, I travelled to Bangalore, Karnataka to visit Nyima Lodoe, a young Tibetan I met many years ago on one of my visits to Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh.

Here are some photos from other trips to Cuba and India, and to the Himalaya in 2003.
